The Sixties Radical and the Fourth of July

On July 4th, The United States of America is 234 years old. Prez Obama and minions are now taking away the freedom that our founding fathers fought for.

The Left, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Prez Obama, and the rest believe that thru government come all of our rights and freedom.

Yet, our founding fathers wrote this little diddy call the Declaration of Independence. This document was the precursor to the Constitution.

These are the opening words of the declaration of Independence.

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

If you will notice the words laws of nature and nature’s God entitle them are the key words in the first paragraph.

The words endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights are the words that are key in the second paragraph.

Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and the rest of the signers of the Declaration of Independence knew that government does not grant life, liberty, and freedom only God does.

Our founders believed in the God of the Bible and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Governments come and go.

Since the beginnings of time how many Kings, Queens, Presidents, Rulers, and Governments have come and gone?

Say what you may but our country was founded upon Judeo Christian principles.

Lets look at the amendments to the Constitution

The First Amendment- Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Ninth Amendment-The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The Tenth Amendment- The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

If you look at these amendments carefully our founding fathers, set out to protect our freedoms and rights.

The point is this once we give away our freedoms we will never get them back.

The Dems, Prez Obama, and the House and Senate are setting themselves up as the ruling class.

These folks want to dole out the freedoms and power as they see fit.

Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, and Ben Franklin put their lives on the line so that we could live as free men.

Now Prez Obama and his cohorts want to taken them away and force us to live under their thumbs.

This is a sad but true fact.

Let’s look at some of the writings of Be Franklin and Alexander Hamilton.

“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” –Constitutional Convention of 1787 | original manuscript of this speech

“In the beginning of the contest with Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayers in this room for Divine protection. Our prayers, Sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered… do we imagine we no longer need His assistance?” [Constitutional Convention, Thursday June 28, 1787]

In Benjamin Franklin’s 1749 plan of education for public schools in Pennsylvania, he insisted that schools teach “the excellency of the Christian religion above all others, ancient or modern.”

In 1787 when Franklin helped found Benjamin Franklin University, it was dedicated as “a nursery of religion and learning, built on Christ, the Cornerstone.”

Alexander Hamilton:
• Hamilton began work with the Rev. James Bayard to form the Christian Constitutional Society to help spread over the world the two things which Hamilton said made America great:
(1) Christianity
(2) a Constitution formed under Christianity.
“The Christian Constitutional Society, its object is first: The support of the Christian religion. Second: The support of the United States.”

On July 12, 1804 at his death, Hamilton said, “I have a tender reliance on the mercy of the Almighty, through the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am a sinner. I look to Him for mercy; pray for me.”

“For my own part, I sincerely esteem it [the Constitution] a system which without the finger of God, never could have been suggested and agreed upon by such a diversity of interests.” [1787 after the Constitutional Convention]

“I have carefully examined the evidences of the Christian religion, and if I was sitting as a juror upon its authenticity I would unhesitatingly give my verdict in its favor. I can prove its truth as clearly as any proposition ever submitted to the mind of man.”
